I know that it was a very short notice but you were still able to pick me up in 15minutes. I was never wrong for choosing LRC. I will definitely recommend this company to all of my friends.
I booked an "8 person minibus" as it was described on the Leading Cars website a few days before flying into Heathrow from Sao Paulo, Brazil. The idea was that the Mercedes minibus shown on the website (or any minibus) would be more than ample for me, my wife, our two small children and our bags to transport us into London. Since we had so many bags I also paid extra for Leading Cars' meet and greet service.
What actually happened was that when we came out of baggage collection our driver was no where to be seen. Calls to the office weren't answered (it was about 8am) and it wasn't until 45 minutes later that I got a call from a driver to say that he was down on level 3 in his Vauxhall Zafira and we, along with our 4 heavily loaded trolleys should meet him there! Not only would have trouble moving the bags on our own - we wouldn't fit. The driver's spoken english was poor and he didn't actually believe we wouldn't somehow cram ourselves in but he soon saw how impossible it was. After a bit of wrangling and several phone calls he arranged a second car and by splitting up, we all managed to get going.
After a 14 hour flight this was all we needed and I would never use these Leading Cars again. They sub-contract carelessly, mis-describe and mis-sell their services.
I am horrified at the service you describe as it is certainly not typical of our hundreds of bookings completed on a daily basis.
Can you provide me with the date of your journey so I can investigate this for you? You can call the main company line to provide this or you can email our bookings@ email address.
I apologise once again for the service you have received and assure you this is not typical at all.

I booked a car as an airport transfer. It was booked for four in the morning. I made the booking online but rang to confirm it had been received. I also rang two days before to ensure that the car was still coming. On the morning, it did not turn up. I waited half an hour, while constantly trying to get in contact with Leading Route Cars, but they did not answer the phone. I had to ring around at 4.30 in the morning to try to find another car. By the time I got another car and got to the airport, I had missed my flight. Because of this, both myself and my travel partner had to pay £200 extra each, and had to spend 12 hours in an airport - making us miss a third of our weekend holiday trip. When I rang Leading Route Cars again, they originally told me I did not have a booking. After arguing, they told me that the car had been waiting outside my house and calling me but could not get through. As I was watching for them I know that this was not in fact true. In addition, I asked them to read out the number they were calling. It was the wrong number. I asked them to read the number I provided on the booking. That was the correct number. They tried to blame the incorrect number on me. When I asked to speak to a manager, they told me the manager did not take phone calls. They also told me it would be rare for him to call me back. They spoke very very rudely in every encounter I had. I firmly requested a call back. I did not receive one. I called back again and was told he would not speak to me. After calling numerous times, it was never resolved. I would never use this company again and have advised others not to. Unreliable, and very poor customer service.
- Company wrote below response to my review, however after sending through my details and waiting a couple of weeks, I have not yet had any response or resolution whatsoever.
I am sorry you have had such an experience. Can you provide the date of your booking so I can look into this for you. I don't know why you were told the manager doesn't take bookings, because I most certainly do!
If you can provide that data, I will certainly investigate why such an event occurred as it is far from the norm.

On time from pick up at our house to the pick up at Gatwick 6 weeks later! Very friendly, courteous and helpful driver. Lovely comfortable car too. We looked around at many cab companies but chose 'Leading Route' and happy that we did. Would have no hesitation in recommending them and booking for our next trip.
I booked a cab from Leading Route Cars for a group of friends and I to head into town on a night out. Not only was the driver smartly dressed the service was punctual too and the same driver picked us up at the end of the night. Great service. Highly recommended.
The price they offer is unbeatable! I have used Leading Car Routes only two times but every time their price is far beyond than the others, plus exceptional service!
I booked a cab for my friend to be picked up from Gatwick who was arriving from Nairobi. LRC took care of all details and waiting at the gste with a name card- as LRC had contacted him from the time i made the booking
My wife and I took a car to Heathrow with Leading Route Cars back in August 2010 as we were on our way for a holiday. The booking process was simple enough, I even received a text message confirming all the details shortly after putting the phone down. A few hours before the car was due, I got another text telling me a driver had been chosen and I had the colour and registration of the car coming to us which I thought was a nice little touch. All in all, very happy with the service - will be booking again shortly.
Over the past couple of years I have used Leading Route Cars several times for trips to and from the airport, local transfers and trips from central London and would highly recommend them to all my family and friends for several reasons.
Ease of booking I love how easy it is to book a taxi with them. I have used several companies in the past and very few allow me the flexibility to book via email, telephone and their online page. I personally find it more convenient to book via email and I have found that my email is usually responded to immediately with full confirmation details and price details. I do not have to wait a long time for confirmation no matter how urgently I may require a car.
Tracking The company sends a text message as soon as a car is booked and another one to inform me of when the car is there. This means I am kept up to date at all times and always know what car to expect.
For airport trips, I always get a call from the driver when I lend with details of where my taxi is waiting and it is always there (even if my flight is massively delayed). This means I do not have to deal with the worry of whether my ride home is actually there or whether they have forgotten me. It makes my journey home after a long uncomfortable flight that much quicker and stressfree.
Professionalism I have used several drivers and every single one of them has greeted me with a smile and courtesy not very common with a lot of other companies.
The drivers are always well dressed in ties, they take my bags, can speak English (which is very important but also very rare with other companies) and are always friendly. I have often had to make them wait (due to a husband who has no concept of time) and they have still never lost their temper or professionalism.
This also means that when I am taking a taxi home late at night and on my own from central London, I feel safe and know that I will get home in one piece.
Flexibility My plans are never set in stone and always subject to change and despite how little notice I give them, a quick call or email solves the problem and my car is rebooked immediately.
Recently I was travelling abroad and my flight home got diverted and delayed due to the snow in London. A quick text and I was comfortable that the taxi waiting for me had been cancelled. I was also asked for my new flight details in order to ensure a car was waiting for me when I did eventually make it home.
I have often changed my destination once I've got into the car and this too has never been a problem.
Reliability The company is very reliable and cars are always on time, always waiting exactly where I want them to be and always offer me a very competitive rate.
Price For a company that is so professional both in their approach and in their manner (I.e with the text messages) the prices are not on the high level as some of the other London wide professional cabs companies but more in line with the prices I get quoted from less professional, less reliable local companies.
Leading Route Cars is definitely setting the pace for a more professional, friendly and efficient cab company. It provides the prices, efficiency and friendliness of a local company combined with the technology and network of a national company. Fantastic!
